More Than a Business

At Avodah PNG, we believe that a successful business has a responsibility to give back to the community that supports it. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme is embedded in our company culture — not an afterthought, but a core part of who we are.

From sponsoring school uniforms for underprivileged students to training young PNG tailors, we are committed to making a tangible, lasting difference in the lives of Papua New Guineans.

We work alongside community leaders, NGOs, churches, and government agencies to identify needs and deliver meaningful support where it matters most.

CSR Pillars

Education Support

We donate school uniforms to underprivileged students across PNG, ensuring that every child can attend school with dignity and pride. We also provide scholarships and stationery packs to deserving students.

Skills & Training

Our apprenticeship programme trains young Papua New Guineans in tailoring, design, and textile production — equipping them with marketable skills and pathways to employment.

Women's Empowerment

We actively recruit and train women in our workforce, providing flexible working arrangements, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities to help women thrive in our industry.

Environmental Stewardship

We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint through responsible sourcing, minimising textile waste, and partnering with suppliers who share our sustainability values.

Health & Welfare

We donate healthcare uniforms to rural clinics and health centres, and support health awareness campaigns in partnership with local NGOs and government health departments.

Cultural Preservation

We celebrate PNG's rich cultural heritage by incorporating traditional motifs and patterns into our designs, and by supporting cultural events, festivals, and arts programmes.

Back to School Uniform Drive

Every year at the start of the school term, Avodah PNG donates school uniforms to students from low-income families in NCD and surrounding provinces. In 2024, we provided over 300 uniform sets to students in need.

Avodah Tailoring Apprenticeship Programme

A 6-month structured apprenticeship for young Papua New Guineans aged 18–30. Participants learn cutting, sewing, pattern-making, and garment finishing — with a certificate of completion and job placement assistance.

Rural Health Clinic Uniform Donations

We partner with the Department of Health to donate medical scrubs and clinical uniforms to rural health centres that lack adequate resources. This initiative has reached clinics in Enga, Simbu, and Gulf provinces.

Women in Textiles Initiative

A dedicated programme to recruit, train, and advance women in our workforce. We provide mentorship, flexible hours for mothers, and a pathway to supervisory and management roles within Avodah PNG.

Green Textile Initiative

We recycle textile offcuts into cleaning rags, insulation materials, and craft supplies donated to local schools. We are also transitioning to eco-certified fabrics across our product lines by 2026.
